Alliance Boys’ High School has expelled six students for allegedly bullying their peers. This decision follows a suspension announced by the school’s Board of Management four days prior, which aimed to restore order within the institution.
A member of the Board of Management, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that internal investigations had found the six students guilty of assaulting their Form One colleagues. "Our investigations have revealed that the six took part in bullying and mistreating other students," the board member explained.
Earlier, Board Chairman Sam Ncheeri acknowledged instances of bullying at the school in a statement to the press. He apologized to the affected students and their parents for the incidents of indiscipline and assured the public that an investigation into the matter was underway.
In addition to the expulsions, the school also demoted 10 prefects, including the captain, for failing to report the incidents to the administration.
