In 2012, Citizen TV's Lilian Muli experienced an awkward moment during a live interview with Anyang' Nyong'o, who was then the Minister of Medical Services.

According to the original account, Nyong'o was invited to discuss a doctors' strike. As the interview neared its end, he became visibly angry.

Towards the conclusion of the interview, Nyong'o is seen looking upset. Without waiting for the interview to officially end, he handed Muli a sheet of paper, instructing her to read it to inform herself, and then left without a goodbye.

Muli was left alone on air, smiling awkwardly as she attempted to regain her composure.

A video of the incident is available online.
