Bus companies in Kenya have shifted their focus towards providing higher quality services rather than maximizing passenger numbers.

In the past, the profitability of a route, such as Nairobi to Mombasa, was often determined by how many passengers a bus could carry. However, nowadays, operators are prioritizing comfort and amenities, resulting in passengers being charged a premium for the enhanced experience.

These upgraded buses may feature fewer seats to allow for more leg room, as well as additional amenities like TV screens, WiFi, personal lighting, charging sockets, air conditioning, and meal services.

A bus allegedly belonging to Tahmeed Coach has been mentioned as an example of these improvements. While the authenticity of the images cannot be verified, they depict a luxurious interior that would be appealing to potential passengers.

In comparison, a bus operated by Shabib Bus in Tanzania has been cited as a notable example of high-quality service.
