Boni Khalwale, the outspoken Kakamega Senator, has urged Musalia Mudavadi, the UDF Party leader, to declare his presidential ambitions for 2017. Khalwale wants Mudavadi to make his intentions known early to avoid being used by Jubilee politicians, as he claims happened in the previous election.

Khalwale stated that he is a UDF elected leader who works with like-minded politicians to serve the people. Notably, despite UDF signing a coalition agreement with the Jubilee regime, Khalwale works closely with CORD.

Khalwale also addressed former Shinyalu MP Justus Kizito, telling him to stop using his name to gain political relevance.
