A recent survey conducted by Ipsos, a research company, has listed the most corrupt leaders in Kenya, based on the opinions of 2060 respondents from several counties.

According to the survey, former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru tops the list, with at least 80 percent of the respondents ranking her as the most corrupt personality in Kenya.

Deputy President William Ruto comes in second, with 19 percent of respondents mentioning him as one of the most corrupt leaders.

President Uhuru Kenyatta ranks third, with 9 percent of the respondents including him in the list.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga is also included in the list, with at least 2 percent of respondents mentioning him.

The survey was conducted between January 9 and 26, and the results may be seen as significant, given the ongoing debate about corruption in Kenya.

Ipsos also conducted a similar poll in 2015, which listed Lands and Housing Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu as the most corrupt, followed by Deputy President William Ruto.

The recovered account cited reporting by Tuko.
