Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, have devised a plan to arrest him, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Moses Wetangula on Monday.
According to Raila Odinga, the alleged plan involves hiring goons disguised as CORD supporters to cause chaos and violence during the Saba Saba event, which would then be blamed on them to justify their arrest and imprisonment.
Raila Odinga stated,
I have received information that some people in Jubilee are planning to cause chaos on Saba Saba and blame it on CORD. They want to blame us for anything that may go wrong on Monday. They want to put Raila, Kalonzo, and Wetangula in a position to take responsibility for the actions of Jubilee goons who intend to cause mayhem, but we shall not accept.
A court ruling has held Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Moses Wetangula personally responsible for any acts of lawlessness during Saba Saba. Additionally, the court has prohibited CORD from calling for mass action during the event, warning that failure to comply will result in facing the full force of the law.
