On July 22, 2019, Credit Bank launched an initiative to interest legal practitioners in its loan products, with a sensitisation workshop held in Kisumu.

LSK Western Region Chairman Bruce Odeny said the move was timely and that it stood to benefit legal startups and SMES.

“The legal profession is currently represented by up to 70 per cent of young practicing advocates and Kisumu plays a big role in the space with a growing footprint in Kenya,” said Odeny.

According to Credit Bank Kisumu Manager David Ondier, Kisumu and the larger Western region is key to the success of its campaign.

"With the capacity to provide employment to a third of the county’s labour force, ensuring SME’s growth and being part of the vibrant Kisumu business ecosystem, is part of our mission," said Ondier.
