A Kiambu Member of Parliament is at the center of an abortion controversy, following allegations that he sent Sh20,000 to a woman to terminate a pregnancy.
According to the woman, who chose to keep the baby, the MP has since resorted to threats and intimidation after she refused to undergo the abortion.
The woman alleged that the MP, who is married with children, told her he could harm her, leaving her feeling insecure due to his position in government and financial resources.
In an interview with NTV, the woman shared a printout of her M-Pesa transaction history, which appears to show a transfer of Sh20,000 from the MP's Safaricom number.
The woman stated, "The MP is threatening me because I have refused to obey his orders to terminate the pregnancy. I feel that my life is in danger because he told me that he could even kill me."
