Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko ended the year 2014 as a proud father, having successfully encouraged his eldest daughter, Saumu Mbuvi, to focus on her university education rather than pursuing a socialite lifestyle.
Saumu is currently studying at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology's (JKUAT) Karen Campus, following her father's guidance.
According to one of her friends, 'Saumu is very much outgoing, and she very well understands campus life.' Her priorities appear to have shifted towards politics, potentially positioning her as a future influential figure in Nairobi.
