Nigerian international Mikel Obi has spoken about the future of his national teammate Kelechi Iheanacho at Manchester City. Iheanacho has been left out of the first team by City's boss Pep Guardiola, who prefers Sergio Aguero and the injured Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus upfront.
Mikel Obi, who had a similar experience at Chelsea under coach Antonio Conte, believes Iheanacho will become a better player at the Etihad stadium. According to Mikel,
Iheanacho will become a better player after this phase, he is a strong lad, a very positive minded being and level headed. I believe he will fight for his place at Manchester City and become a great player at the club.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola might consider giving the 20-year-old Nigerian youngster another chance to prove his ability after the injury sustained by Gabriel Jesus.
