A Filipino maid, identified as Fatma, has sought assistance after her Saudi Arabian employer allegedly caused her severe burns by throwing boiling water on her, according to a report by ABS-CBN News.

Fatma, 23, who hails from Pikit, North Cotabato, reached out to her cousin for help following the incident. Her cousin then shared photos of Fatma's burned body on Facebook, garnering support and sympathy from many.

Fatma claimed she had been working for the Arab family in Riyadh for two months without receiving her salary or adequate meals. The alleged incident occurred when Fatma failed to serve coffee on time, prompting her employer to pour boiling water on her.
