DP Ruto's Hilarious Advice at Waititu's Daughter's Wedding ¶
On Saturday, July 20, 2019, Governor Ferdinand Waititu of Kiambu county walked his daughter, Njeri Ndungu, down the aisle and handed her over to her love, Nyotu Gitau, in a colourful wedding ceremony at the Presbyterian Church of East Africa PCEA in Runda, Nairobi.
As earlier captured by TUKO.co.ke, the nuptials were exchanged in the presence of top politicians, businessmen, and even former First Lady Ngina Kenyatta and her son Muhoho Kenyatta.
Deputy President William Ruto, who was honoured to give advice to the newlyweds, turned into a comedian and cracked attendees at the wedding with his advice.
He congratulated the couple for their nuptials and specifically asked the groom to take good care of his bride, urging him to always feed and pamper her with nice things such as good clothes.
On a light note, he assured the couple that the Jubilee government would gladly take care of their maternity bills, hence they should not fear conceiving.
His maternity advice cracked guests at the wedding who laughed with excitement.
It should be noted that Waititu's daughter's wedding made headlines on Friday after it emerged that the governor had shortlisted his soon-to-be in-law for a top position in the county government.
However, the name of Herman Gitau Nyotu was quickly removed from the list of shortlisted candidates soon after the wedding invitation card went viral on social media.
