A policeman was killed and another seriously injured in an attack near Dagahale, close to the Dadaab refugee camp, on Saturday.
According to regional police official Musa Yego,
The attackers were on foot, and trailed the officers for about 100 metres before firing at them at close range.
The injured officer received medical attention at Garissa County hospital after being transported by a Red Cross rescue team.
Musa Yego stated that the attackers are believed to be Al Shabaab members or sympathizers, and they escaped into a nearby refugee camp.
