Musician Diana Chelele was buried at her home in Kapkwen on Thursday.
Leaders who attended the funeral included Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and Kuresoi MP Zakayo Cheruiyot, along with several local artists.
The ceremony was disrupted when mourners became rowdy, calling for the arrest of those involved in Diana Chelele's murder.
Diana Chelele was found dead at her home on January 9, 2016.
An initial investigation implicated her husband, Erick Musila, in the murder. He was arrested, along with a woman whose phone was allegedly used to set a trap for the musician.
Erick Musila and Diana Chelele had a troubled relationship, marked by disputes rather than harmony.
