Zari, the wife of Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz and mother of his daughter Tiffah Zarina Ntlale, has spoken about her past relationship with ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga, the father of her three sons.
In an interview with Faridah Nakazibwe on NTV's morning show, Zari stated that Ivan was abusive, which ultimately led to the end of their relationship.
According to Zari, "I tried so much to make the relationship work but it failed. I was abused by Ssemwanga, I think everyone knows that now because sometimes it happened publicly. It’s a common thing in relationships so it shouldn’t be a secret,"
Despite the abuse, Zari mentioned that she still defends Ivan in public when people criticize him, citing that he is the father of her children. This defense comes even as she is now married to Diamond Platnumz.
