On July 22, 2019, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) announced the results of the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, with Juliet Irene Otieno from Pangani Girls School emerging as the top candidate with a mean score of 87.644.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in the country's education sector, as the number of students scoring grade A has risen to 315 from last year's 142. Furthermore, 90,377 students (13.77%) have achieved a mean grade of C+ and above.
However, the results of 100 candidates have been canceled due to various reasons.
