According to a report, several individuals from Kenya's elite families have been appointed to parastatal positions. The son of billionaire businessman Chris Kirubi, whose name was mentioned as Polycarp Igathe, has been appointed as the chairman of an anti-counterfeit agency.

Other notable appointments include:

  • Judy Kibaki, daughter of former President Kibaki
  • Judy Nyachae, daughter of Simeon Nyachae
  • Kenneth Bitange Nyachae, son of Simeon Nyachae
  • Leah Ntimama, daughter of Ntimama
  • Michael Michuki, son of John Michuki
  • Wendy Akinyi, daughter of Jaramogi Oginga

These appointments were part of a list announced by Uhuru.
