Citizen TV anchor and reporter Michael Njenga is scheduled to marry his long-term fiancée, Phoebe Wanjiku, on January 9th.
In an interview with Citizen Digital, Njenga shared details about their courtship, which began after they met at a dinner organized by a mutual friend four years ago.
Njenga recalled being immediately drawn to Wanjiku and making his interest known to other men in the room. He jokingly warned them, "If anyone shows interest in Phoebe, I would wreck their dental formula."
This marked the beginning of their courtship, which led to a proposal three years later. Njenga cited Wanjiku's maturity, faith, and family background as key attributes that attracted him to her.
He expressed his admiration for her, saying, "I love her level of maturity, she is very mature. I also love that she mentioned God. She grew up in the church."
Njenga also appreciated the inside jokes they shared and Wanjiku's physical beauty. After dating for about a year, he proposed, and she accepted.
Offering advice to bachelors, Njenga said, "Do not look for trophies, do not get someone who you can live with but someone you can’t live without."
