During the burial ceremony of former Housing Minister Soita Shitanda in Kakamega, Deputy President William Ruto addressed allegations made by former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo. Ruto stated that Jirongo's attacks on him stem from bitterness over his success.
According to Ruto, Jirongo has difficulty accepting his rise to prominence.
