Following the recent terror attack on Garissa University, award-winning Kenyan singer Avril visited Chiromo Mortuary to console with the bereaved families.
Avril donated various items to the Red Cross to help families who were yet to identify the bodies of their relatives killed during the attack. She also expressed that the attack had a profound effect on her, as many of the students who perished were likely her fans due to their age.
On social media, Avril posted:
"I probably lost someone who loved my music, watched my videos, shared my song links, videos and articles, who cheered me on so that I never felt discouraged. That's why #147IsNotJustANumber.. RIP comrades. We will never forget"
