CORD and Jubilee coalitions have planned parallel rallies in Kisumu. Organisers of the rallies, Dave Okwach, the Kisumu county ODM chairman, and George Ayugi, the Nyanza URP coordinator, told The Star that the rallies will take place in separate venues.
Cord’s rally will be addressed by principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Moses Wetang’ula at the Kirembe Grounds on Kisumu-Busia road. Jubilee's rally will be held at the Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground.
Prior to this, Cord held a rally at the Kirembe Grounds on March 1, 2013, while Jubilee held a parallel rally at the Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground.
