Sam Simon, the Emmy Award-winning writer who co-created the iconic animated series The Simpsons, has died at the age of 59, according to his employer.
Simon, who worked alongside Matt Groening and James L. Brooks to develop The Simpsons in the late 1980s, passed away on Sunday at his home in Los Angeles due to complications from colorectal cancer, as reported by Variety.
