STL, a prominent musician, was involved in a public feud with Hillary Ngash Kamau, the promoter of the Mojos Club, over her demands for a recent performance. The dispute led to the cancellation of her appearance at the Biashara Party.
According to the promoter, STL made several demands, including two bottles of champagne, two bottles of Chivas Regal, and two bottles of Johnny Black, as well as transportation to and from the venue. The promoter considered these demands to be excessive and refused to comply.
STL took to social media to announce the cancellation of the show, stating that the promoter had failed to follow their agreement. However, the promoter responded, accusing STL of making unreasonable demands and being unprofessional.
The promoter claimed that STL's demands were not only excessive but also contradictory to the terms of their contract. The promoter stated that they had previously hosted bigger artists, such as Jaguar, TMK, and Sauti Sol, without receiving similar demands.
STL defended her demands, stating that she expected good service and compensation for her performances. However, the promoter maintained that they were not responsible for catering to her personal needs, such as transportation and liquor.
The dispute ultimately led to STL being replaced by other performers, including Khaligraph Jones and Kristoff, who went on to perform at the event. The promoter revealed that STL's demands had included a bottle of champagne worth 10,000 KSH, two bottles of Chivas Regal worth 6,000 KSH each, and two bottles of Johnny Black worth 6,000 KSH each, totaling 34,000 KSH, which exceeded her agreed-upon performance fee of 30,000 KSH.
