A Tanzanian financial institution is seeking an Approval Officer to evaluate business credit applications in accordance with company credit criteria.
The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager in the Business Finance department and will be responsible for assessing business credit applications, analyzing key business risks, and ensuring compliance with product business rules and company credit criteria.
Requirements ¶
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial institution, including 2 years in a leadership role. Key performance areas include loan approvals, collections, and corporate image.
- Loan Approvals: Evaluate business credit applications, analyze key business risks, and ensure compliance with product business rules and company credit criteria.
- Collections: Accompany Loan Officers on collections visits, assist in handovers to Enforcement, and monitor collections rates.
- Corporate Image: Maintain a professional image, keep the branch and work area neat, and protect the company brand.
