Ray C, the Tanzanian musician known for her hit song 'Moto Moto', has overcome her struggles with drug addiction. According to Sadat Muhindi, a Kenyan politician and philanthropist, Ray C has completed her rehabilitation and is now fully recovered.
Sadat Muhindi, who is also the founder of Maliza Umaskini, announced the news and expressed his happiness about Ray C's recovery. He stated,
This is what Maliza umaskini is all about, we made sure that we supported our sister Rayc to go to rehab and I have good news for her fans Rayc is back and at 100%. She is healed completely we are happy to introduce to you her new single confidence.
Sadat Muhindi recently announced his candidacy for the Likuyani parliamentary seat. If elected, he plans to introduce a bill that would require local media to play at least 85% Kenyan music and 70% local content on TV shows. He aims to support local musicians and hold media outlets accountable for promoting Kenyan talent.
Muhindi warned that failure to comply with the proposed law would result in fines and potential jail time for media executives, producers, and presenters. This move comes after Kenyan musicians have long advocated for greater support from local media, with some staging protests last year.
