On Sunday, July 21, 2019, a dramatic scene unfolded at the National Arena in Romania during a Liga 1 match between Dinamo Bucharest and Universitatea Craiova.

Dinamo Bucharest manager Eugen Neagoe, 51, became unwell in the 25th minute and was given a bottle of water. He was seen breathing heavily on the sidelines before fainting.

Play was halted for 15 minutes as Neagoe received treatment, and he was subsequently taken to Bucharest's Floreasca Hospital.

Fortunately, Neagoe is now in stable condition and will remain under observation at the hospital, according to local media reports.

This incident serves as a poignant reminder of the risks faced by football players and coaches, particularly in the heat of competition.

As recently as 2016, Dinamo Bucharest midfielder Patrick Ekeng died at the age of 26 after collapsing on the pitch due to a suspected heart attack.
