Photos obtained from the phone of Thomas Evans, a British Al Shabaab fighter killed by the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in Lamu, show alleged Al Shabaab militants operating from Boni Forest.
The majority of the fighters in the photos are reported to be non-Somali, including Kenyans and Europeans.
