Gospel star Emmy Kosgey has addressed rumors of her divorce from husband Apostle Anslem Madubuko.
On April 20, 2014, Kenya's social media was filled with rumors that Kosgey had secretly filed for divorce and was seeking 50 percent of Madubuko's wealth.
Response to Rumors ¶
Kosgey, who was in Boston for a music tour at the time, responded to a fan's inquiry about the rumors on social media. The fan asked,
"Emmy, can you clear the air on your recent divorce saga."
Kosgey replied,
"Para pararampa ni za ma idlers. Tuko imara. Happy Easter."
which translates to
"Don't listen to the rumors; we are still together, happy Easter."
Romantic Messages ¶
To further dispel the rumors, Kosgey and Madubuko exchanged romantic messages on Facebook. Madubuko posted,
Missing ya already SWEETIE.
Kosgey responded,
@Apostle. I miss you too HONEY. I am coming soon.
Controversial Relationship ¶
The couple's relationship has been a subject of discussion due to their significant age difference. Kosgey is the same age as Madubuko's youngest daughter.
