The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has released statistics for new registered voters per province.
According to the latest figures, Rift Valley is leading with a total of 497,313 new registered voters, followed by Eastern, Central, and Nairobi, respectively. North Eastern and Western provinces have registered the least number of voters.
The exact figures are as follows:
- Coast: 238,499
- North Eastern: 63,100
- Eastern: 348,977
- Central: 318,487
- Rift Valley: 497,313
- Western: 185,683
- Nyanza: 248,390
- Nairobi: 251,054
Based on these figures, one analysis suggests that Uhuru has a combined 1 million new votes, while Raila has approximately 900,000. This indicates that Raila is still trailing the president, unless significant changes occur.
