Ahmed Issack Hassan, Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), is facing calls to resign from public office.
This follows a ruling by a British Crown Court, which found directors of Smith and Ousman, a printing company, guilty of paying bribes to high-ranking IEBC officials.
The court's decision has raised questions about Hassan's ability to maintain his position as Chairman of the IEBC, given the commission's alleged involvement in high-level corruption.
