Uhuru accused KTN of misrepresenting facts and linking him to the violence. However, KTN is seeking to have the case dismissed, claiming that Uhuru is not interested in pursuing the suit.
According to The Star, Uhuru's lawyers have argued that the president should be allowed to delay the case until he completes his term, citing constitutional protection from engaging in civil cases while in office.
The case, which was filed before Uhuru's presidency, will be mentioned on April 4. KTN's parent company, Standard Group, is also involved in the proceedings.
Uhuru insists that he wants justice, alleging that KTN misrepresented facts. The media house, on the other hand, seeks to dismiss the case.
