Terryanne Chebet, a journalist from Citizen TV, was scheduled to attend a function in Johannesburg, South Africa, along with other journalists.

However, their departure from Nairobi was delayed by over an hour, with no official communication from Kenya Airways management regarding the cause of the delay.

Chebet took to Twitter to inquire about the reason behind the delay. In response, Kenya Airways apologized for the delay but did not provide a clear explanation.

Chebet then posted a follow-up tweet expressing her dissatisfaction with the airline's response.

The Kenya Airways Twitter account handler continued to engage with Chebet, but the exchange did not seem to resolve the issue.

After a 12-hour delay, the group faced an additional 30-minute wait due to a Very Important Person (VIP) being stuck in traffic and needing to board the plane.

Chebet ultimately expressed frustration with the airline's inefficiency, comparing it unfavorably to Kenya Power.
