Clashes between police, hawkers, and shop owners occurred in Eastleigh on Wednesday. The groups were at odds over trading locations.

Hawkers claimed to have a court order allowing them to operate along the streets, while shop owners argued that the hawkers blocked customer access to their stores and contributed to disorder in the area.

According to the Eastleigh Business District Association, all shops would remain closed starting Thursday.

The recovered account cited reporting by Mediamax.
