A recent social media post by Salma Mbuvi, daughter of Mike Sonko, has sparked controversy surrounding songbird Marya's relationship with a married man, Kevoh.
According to Salma, Kevoh is a relative, specifically her uncle, and is married to her aunt, with whom he has children.
Salma expressed her disapproval of the situation, stating that she hates exposing people but felt compelled to speak out in defense of her family. She posted on social media, saying:

I was so shocked to see that this morning on pulse magazine @iamkevooh is a married man...married to my aunt @jannie_kal a very beautiful woman and they have kids together so I don’t understand why a whole musician who is respected by Kenyas @its_maryakenya can date a married man it’s so embarrassing this people preach things that they don’t do and yes @iamkevooh is married to my aunt so @its_maryakenya don’t let that man fool you and if you know what is good for you you would do the right thing before things go bad for you am one person who is not afraid of anything or anyone and I speak out what I feel and what I think is right."
