A reported family disagreement involved Grace Mwende, 55, and her step-granddaughter Florence Nduku, 23, in a dispute over a man initially married to Mwende.
According to the statement, the issue began when it emerged that Nduku was in an intimate relationship with Daniel Mwongela, who was referred to as her ‘grandfather.’ Prior to this, Grace Mwende had taken on a guardianship role for her granddaughter, who moved from the village in 2006.
In 2011, Grace Mwende married Daniel Mwongela in a church ceremony in Machakos, where Nduku attended as a bridesmaid.
