A dramatic incident occurred on the Eastern Bypass when a motorist, reportedly an army officer, thwarted a carjacking attempt by ramming into his would-be assailants.

According to the original account, the motorist was driving a Harrier when he noticed two men on a motorcycle trailing him. Sensing danger, he sped away, but the men pursued, eventually pointing a gun at him.

In a bold move, the motorist accelerated and intentionally hit a lorry, which then rammed into the two men, causing severe injuries and instant death.

The scene drew a large response from law enforcement, with over 20 police officers and army personnel arriving promptly to secure the area. The road was closed for nearly five hours until the motorist, who remained unidentified, was taken to the hospital.

Although official confirmation of the incident is pending, the scene was described as graphic, with multiple fatalities.
