Published on July 22, 2019, Dan Sonko, a Mombasa-based actor, has responded to a fan who criticized him for moving on quickly after the death of his wife, Dru, two years ago.
Dru passed away after giving birth to their second child, slipping into a coma due to weak brain signals that affected her organs' functioning.
Her body was unable to create platelets, and she was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where she received treatment before passing away.
Two years have passed since Dru's death, and Dan Sonko has moved on with his life, dating another woman identified as Bwire Ndubi.
However, a fan, Miss Kahacho, who claimed to have known Dru, commented on one of Dan Sonko's photos, saying, 'I think you have moved on so fast..I miss your life.'
Responding to the comment, Dan Sonko said, 'I usually ignore such comments but I will just mention that as much as you be entitled to your opinion, there are areas that you have no jurisdiction… Matters of grieving are different and unique to every individual. I loved Dru dearly and it has been over 2 years now. If the time is short for you, then maybe when you go through a similar ordeal, you can chart your own path.'
Ms. Bwire has been showering her man with love on social media, with one of her posts reading, 'When you meet your perfect match, nothing else matters. What matters is the world you share.'
