Cecilia Njeri Gicheha, a 23-year-old woman who was fatally injured in an accident involving two matatus in the CBD, was laid to rest. According to reports, the matatus were competing for customers on the Kasarani route when the incident occurred.
Cecilia was on her way home and had planned to attend a fellowship with friends afterwards. However, she suffered severe injuries, including broken ribs and chest bones, and died while undergoing an X-ray at the hospital. Good Samaritans, including a police officer, had rushed her to the hospital after the accident.
During her funeral service, mourners described Cecilia as a humble, kind, and God-fearing person. She had recently landed a job at the Boma Hotel and was set to start soon.
