According to her social media post, Salma told her critics to keep off her life and focus on their own. She stated,
Some people hate you for a reason. Some people love you for a reason. Yet I am still me and you remain to be you.
She further expressed her frustration with people who have a problem with how she dresses or what she posts online, saying
If you have a problem with how I dress, what I post, my language, please take your negativity elsewhere. I have no time for haters.
