A Kenyan woman, Laura Imali, who traveled to the United States after meeting a man on a dating site, is allegedly being abused and forced to participate in explicit activities, according to her friend Cynthia Khamati.
Cynthia stated that Laura met the American man, identified as Ted, on the website tagged.com. After communicating online, Ted visited Laura in Kenya, and later sent her a ticket to join him in Ohio.
However, upon arrival in the US, Laura was allegedly taken advantage of and forced to participate in explicit films. A video clip circulating online appears to show Laura being abused by two men.
According to Cynthia, Laura confided in her about her desire to find a partner, leading Cynthia to suggest trying dating sites. Cynthia said she advised Laura to join tagged.com, where she eventually met Ted.
The situation has sparked outrage, with Interpol reportedly investigating the matter. This incident occurred just before former US President Barack Obama's visit to Kenya.
