As I've grown older, I've noticed a trend that's left me puzzled - men in their 20s seem to be attracting women in their 30s like magnets. What's behind this phenomenon?

It's not just their charm or good looks that's drawing women in; it's their confidence and maturity that's making them appear older than they actually are. But is this a genuine quality or just a facade?

Imagine having a 'agemeter' that could tell you a person's age just by pointing it at them. I wish I had one of those devices, especially when it comes to dealing with men in their 20s who think they're ready for a serious relationship.

It's even more concerning when men in their 40s, who are supposed to be more mature, seem to be sleeping on the job, leaving a gap that these young men are eager to fill. But this can lead to drama and heartache, as I've learned from personal experience.

One such experience was when I was out for a walk with a friend and her younger partner. They got into a misunderstanding, and the next thing I knew, they were chasing each other down the street. I joined in, thinking we were under attack, and we ended up at the partner's home, where his mother was waiting for us with a stern expression.

It turned out that the partner was over 10 years younger than us, and we felt a mix of shame and embarrassment. From then on, I made it a point to gauge men's maturity levels before getting involved with them.

My advice to women in their 30s is to steer clear of men in their 20s and go for the more mature and confident men in their 40s. They may be more challenging to win over, but they're worth the effort.
