ODM Loses Member of County Assembly to Short Illness

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has lost a member after West Uyoma Ward Representative, Mathew Odeny Onduru, died following a short illness.

According to the family and his doctor, Onduru was diagnosed with a heart complication and was initially taken to Bama Hospital before being referred to Nairobi Hospital, where he passed away at around 1 am while undergoing treatment.

Besides serving as an MCA, Onduru also held the position of Chairman of the Health Committee in his county.

This is the second death in the County Assembly, following the passing of North Ugenya Ward MCA, Benson Omondi Onyango, in March 2015.

Onduru's death was reported by The Kenyan DAILY POST.
