Nyatike MP Edick Omondi Anyanga was attacked along Ngong Road in Karen, Nairobi. According to a reliable source, several gunshots were fired, and the MP suffered serious injuries.
The MP was initially taken to Karen Hospital and later reported to be in a stable condition. The motive behind the attack is currently unknown. It is alleged that the attackers stole Kshs 200,000. They were reportedly waiting for the MP inside the compound, where they confronted him after he parked his vehicle. The MP allegedly struggled with the attackers and managed to fire shots at them.
Law enforcement officials are searching for the attackers, and the MP has been transferred to Nairobi Hospital for further treatment.
