A few weeks ago, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko provided medical aid to veteran actor Mzee Ojwang, who had gone partially blind and was struggling with poverty.
According to reports, Senator Sonko paid for Mzee Ojwang's eye surgery, which appears to have been successful. Mzee Ojwang is said to be recuperating well.
Sometime after the surgery, Senator Sonko stated,
Thanks be to the Almighty... nothing is impossible with God. I am pleased to report that Mzee Ojwang's surgery was very successful. He has now regained his eyesight and is able to see well. Thanks to all those who chipped in... together we have changed someone's life.
