Workers in Nyandarua paralyzed operations at the public service board offices after dumping human waste outside the premises.

The protest was against the alleged violation of a tripartite agreement between the workers, the county management, and the board regarding promotions and confirmation.

According to Earnest Macharia, chairman of the Nyandarua county branch of the Kenya County Government Workers Union, the workers vowed not to return to their duties until an agreement was reached.

Context of the Protest

The workers claimed that some of their members seconded to the county government had not received confirmation letters, accusing the government of deception.

Over 100 workers camped outside the office, protesting the alleged breach of agreement.
