The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has dismissed a petition by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) seeking the disqualification of Maendeleo Democratic Party candidate Philip Okundi from the Homa Bay Senatorial by-election.
According to the original account, ODM, represented by lawyer T.J. Kajwang on behalf of their candidate Moses Otieno Kajwang, had filed the petition demanding that Mr. Okundi be summoned to answer to alleged gross violations of the electoral code of conduct.
