The Kenya National Union of Nurses has expelled its chairman, John Bii, due to allegations of violating the union's constitution by not following the internal dispute resolution mechanism.

According to the allegations, John Bii is accused of collaborating with employees, employers, and other stakeholders to hinder the ongoing collective bargaining agreement negotiations with the government.

This development comes shortly after nurses at Kenyatta National Hospital agreed to return to work. The decision followed an agreement by Cabinet Secretary for Health Dr. Cleopa Mailu to reflect their nursing allowances in their accounts on Thursday, 9th.
