On Friday, police shot dead three suspected robbers in Westlands, Nairobi, while one suspect escaped.
Botched Bank Heist ¶
The suspects were allegedly planning to raid Barclays bank. The operation to stop them was led by officers from the Special Crime Prevention Unit, supported by the Flying Squad. Two guns were recovered at the scene.
According to Vitalis Otieno, the OCPD of Gigiri, the suspects had been under surveillance for some time. They were traveling in a Toyota Fielder when the incident occurred.
