CORD Postpones Machakos Prayer Rally to June 26

A prayer rally organized by the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) that was set to take place on Sunday, June 19, in Machakos town has been rescheduled.

The event will now occur on Sunday, June 26, at the same location. According to the statement, the decision to postpone was made to allow legislators who were recently detained to rest.

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua had previously cautioned CORD against using the event for political purposes.
