Jimmy Kiamba, the chief finance officer for the Nairobi County government, is under investigation by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over allegations of accumulating wealth beyond his known income.
The EACC has petitioned the High Court to freeze Mr Kiamba's assets, citing suspicions of fraudulent transactions through his bank accounts.
According to the EACC, Mr Kiamba's two bank accounts with CFC Stanbic Bank were used to transact more than Sh400 million between January and November 2014, despite his monthly salary being Sh85,000.
The EACC's pursuit of Mr Kiamba is part of a broader probe into claims that he stole millions of shillings from City Hall during the same period.
